Confined Space and Rescue Operations Training
Course Description
Confined spaces are among the most hazardous work environments due to restricted entry and exit, limited ventilation, and the potential presence of toxic or flammable substances. This training equips participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to safely enter, work in, and rescue from confined spaces.
The program covers legal requirements, hazard identification, permit-to-work systems, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), atmospheric monitoring, and emergency response procedures.

Introduction to confined space regulations and standards
Characteristics and examples of confined spaces
Hazards of confined spaces (oxygen deficiency, toxic gases, flammable atmospheres, entrapment, etc.)
Risk assessment and safe systems of work
Permit-to-Work system for confined space entry
Gas detection and monitoring techniques
PPE and respiratory protective equipment (SCBA, airline systems, etc.)
Communication procedures inside confined spaces
Emergency preparedness and response planning
Rescue techniques and use of retrieval systems
Practical confined space entry and simulated rescue drills
