Course Description

The Survival Swimming Training program is designed to provide participants with the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to survive in water-related emergencies. The course equips learners with techniques to stay afloat, conserve energy, signal for help, and perform safe self-rescue in open water or pool environments.
This training is ideal for industries and individuals exposed to marine, offshore, and inland water risks, ensuring preparedness in the event of accidental immersion or maritime emergencies.

What Will You Learn?

  • Understand basic water safety principles.
  • Demonstrate effective floating, treading, and controlled breathing techniques.
  • Apply survival strokes for energy conservation in water.
  • Use personal flotation devices (PFDs) effectively.

  • Respond appropriately to panic, fatigue, and cold-water immersion.
  • Practice signaling and rescue awareness in survival situations.

Introduction to aquatic safety & survival psychology

Personal protective equipment (life jackets, PFDs, survival suits)

Floating and treading water techniques

Controlled breathing and panic management

Survival strokes (back float, sidestroke, breaststroke, etc.)

Group survival techniques in open water

Self-rescue and signaling for help

Cold water survival strategies

Practical survival drills in pool/open water conditions
